Parents at work in a changing world

ING Bank

Care of people as part of ING’s strategy

For years ING has been promoting initiatives to foster the inclusion and care of its employees, with a particular focus on enhancing the skills of employees who are parents.

This is why in 2020, as part of its Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, ING Italy introduced the Lifeed programme for its employees who are new parents to complement its holistic approach to the transfer of soft skills from private life to work with a development and support path dedicated to them.

Objectives

To give people an extra tool to achieve an improvement in transferable soft skills at work

To create a continuous thread within the employee journey even when people have to take a break from work

To foster the well-being and engagement of those returning to work after a long period of absence such as parental leave

We believe that harnessing the link between people’s private life experiences and work can improve engagement and inclusion.
